The Milk Bank

Founded in 2005, The Milk Bank was established as a non-profit, community-supported entity to improve health outcomes for premature and ill babies, foster better health for children, and decrease health care expenditures. The Milk Bank receives human milk from carefully screened donors to pasteurize, freeze and distribute throughout the United States.

Oklahoma Mother’s Milk Bank

The Oklahoma Mothers’ Milk Bank was the 13th milk bank operating in the United States when it began processing milk in August 2013. Prior to OMMB, the closest bank to Oklahoma was in Texas. There are frequent shortages nationwide as the demand for human milk in hospitals continues to increase.

Milk Express sites are convenient, community-based locations where families can pickup their order of safe donor milk. Quick access to donor milk gives parents peace of mind.  The Milk Bank’s Outpatient Program provides Pasteurized Donor Human Milk as a medical treatment, to bridge a gap, or to help meet breastfeeding goals.
